The main way books get damaged is by flopping open during transit. Be sure the boxes are packed tight. Use fill if necessary. If books are able to rattle around in the box, the pages can get bent. Towels, washcloths, or clothing, a well as packing paper male satisfactory fill. Books or moderate value ($200-$500) can be protected rather well by simply wrapping them neatly in brown paper before packing them in a box. Books of great value, such as old photo albums or family bibles should be stretch wrapped between sheets of corrugated cardboard. This protects the covers and the pages.
